This years' Annual Conference in KNUST, Kumasi is a bold attempt at creating a unique experience unrivaled in PSGH AGM history. The desire to build a notch higher than Sunyani 2016 has been a tall challenge for Team Kumasi 2017 but with passion, optimism and hard-work the quest for excellence has inspired the Team to present an unforgettable 5-day event filled with compassion, business opportunities, critical discussions, and also music, drama and sporting fun...all in one place:
KNUST from 1st to 6th August 2017.
Whether it is the HEALTH OUTREACH at Senchi in the Sekyere District on Tuesday 1st August
and a possible BLOOD DONATION EXERCISE the next day;
or the three day EXHIBITION OF PHARMACEUTICAL INNOVATION, PRODUCTS AND DEVELOPMENTS by corporate pharma
or the social networks and connections engendered by the professional environment created by AGM
or the Grand Opening Ceremony and its accompanying AFTERNOON SYMPOSIUM on Wednesday 2nd August at the Great Hall,
or the FRIDAY MORNING BUSINESS SESSION to discuss the 10-year STRATEGIC PLAN and matters arising,
both YOUNG and OLD colleagues and all interested in the FUTURE OF OUR SOCIETY AND PROFESSION
have a perfect opportunity to make critical inputs into how
PHARMACY AND PHARMACISTS can effectively and quantitatively contribute to national economic development.
This is the theme that Pharm FRANCIS KOFI NYAME, our thematic speaker seeks to bring his deep knowledge of our peculiar Ghanaian situation and his immense international exposure to lead the discussions on the subject as our thematic speaker.
Fun lovers, socialites and those whom the AGM is a break away from stress and work have a full course mixture of food, drinks, music, dance, drama, (yes drama!!!) and sports competitions at Paa Joe to burn some calories and let their heads down freely. There will be the Akwaaba Cocktail to be organized and hosted by Ashanti Region on Tuesday followed by
a Night of LIVE, OPEN AIR MUSIC with the maestro KOJO ANTWI himself at the ROYAL PARADE GROUNDS on Wednesday.
Thursday is slated for Practice group AGM and CPD. Note that the CPD is compulsory and credits will be earned for attendance and participation.
In the night, Pharmacists will be the first professional group to host Ghana's modern theatre icons,
UNCLE EBO WHITE's ROVERMAN CREW will stage an exclusive pharmacists only drama at the Great Hall.
You certainly wont miss this one.
Saturdays" Inter PRACTICE GROUPS SPORTS COMPETITION hopes to settle who is who in sports between CPPA, GHOSPA, AREPI, ACADEMIA, REGULATORS, IPA, etc while the Ladies Soccer Match will be the centre of attraction.
All Teams should start training to avoid embarrassment on the field.
One Friday, the CLOSING BANQUET will for the first time be a CHARITY BALL where we will dine, wine, dance
while supporting a worthy charity.
If every pharmacist present that night gives just ONE HUNDRED CEDIS to support a worthy cause, the PSGH will be building solidly on our AMICUS HUMANIS GENERIS tag...
Lest I forget... its the POLITICAL SEASON and candidates will be busy seeking re-election or election.
Voting is on Friday and handing over will take place at the Charity Ball...
On Saturday night, a special GROUPS FREE SESSION has been created for various year groups, classes and friends to meet on their own at their own locations to have mini sittings and deliberations...
I wont miss Kumasi 2017.
